...On the way home from the Philly last night, the Ranger and I took the exit closest to his house and there was a car lodged between the embankment and the stanchion of the overpass with a lady in it.
Ranger went back to check it out and the lady was adamant that we not call anyone.
So..of course...we did anyway.
Turns out the lady was not lucid enough to drive for whatever reason. I'm not speculating.
We had to go to the State Police barracks to fill out a statement tonight and there is a good chance that we may need to testify...
Filing this one away for fiction.

not lucid is likely an understatement. Do not worry about testifying you likely will not. You just helped the state police's case by having another person on their side. It will plea out likely.
Nice job.

She has a history of DUI. We both gave written statements putting her in the drivers seat and as the only person in the car. She claims somone else was driving. She also refused DUI testing. Needless to say, she is cooling her heals in the slammer right now.
Alia and I see it as taking one more drunk driver off the street...a civic duty.
JU, its OUR house...she is just not used to saying it yet.

I just wish more people followed through, they want us to lock 'em up but do not want to follow through, then bish when people are back on the road. We need witnesses.

Ranger qnd Alia:
Good job on the stop. Who know what she would have done had she continued on...
On a personal note... My wife the RN will stop at anything resembling an injuryu and proceed to either volunteer or start the process. One time we were driving in town and she yells stop !! Seems an older gentleman had just fainted on the sidewalk. 911 had been called but she stayed to make sure things would go OK.
