Posted: 12/15/03 - 13:12 Post subject: Imaginary Friends
Ok, my 2 year old nephew has a new friend that only he can se....his name is Gator. I was just wondering if any of you parents out there have dealt with you kids having imaginary friends and how you handled it. Me and my sister never had imaginary friends so my mom wasn't too sure how we should handle it.
I think it's the cutest thing though, he told me yesterday that Gator holds his hand because he's afraid of the dark. Then later in the day he told me Gator was hiding in the Christmas tree.....

I remember trying to have an imaginary friend, but it wouldn't take.
I think I read a story about a kid who had one or something, and thought it was cool, and thought I'd do it. I never really did it though.

When's he's got an imaginary 6 foot rabbit named Harvey, then you've got reason to worry.

My eldest used to have a friend called GeeJewl. She would make it lunch from her lunch, talk, sing, play with GeeJewl. I loved it.

or if he talks with a different voice, his head spins around, and he vomits pea soup, you should worry then too.

Now couldn't you have trained this kid to have a new friend call "Nole" or "Seminole"?

Maybe he's cutting back on caffeine.
