...you might not have received the latest issue of Archaeology. If that's the case, I think it's important that you be made aware of a tidbit that appears in the "World Roundup" section.

"Italy: The Curse of Otzi? Molecular biologist Tom Loy, who analyzed the Iceman's DNA, passed away recently, making him the seventh person associated with the 5,000-year old hunter to die. The tourist who discovered Otzi in 1991, Helmut Simon, fell to his death near the find spot in October 2004. The head of the team that recovered Simon died of a heart attack an hour after Simon's funeral. Other casualties include the first archaeologist to inspect Otzi, the mountaineer who led scientists to the remains, the man who filmed Otzi's removal from the mountain, and a member of the Iceman's forensic team, who died in a car accident while on his way to give a lecture about Otzi."

Paging Robert Stack...

Robert Stack had something to do with Otzi?!?

(And yes, I realize that Robert Stack is dead. It was merely a reference to his series, Unsolved Mysteries.)
