What was the first movie you ever saw in a theater?

The first movie I can recall seeing was Bride of Frankenstein that played on Halloween night. I only remember it because I remember puke in the bathroom from all the candy.

Some Disney flick, no doubt. Though I vividly remember "Star Wars" and "The Empire Strikes Back". I was hugely disappointed with Star Wars because no way could The Force not crush The Rebellion. Come on - they were better organized, had better weaponry, and they had evil on their side. Then when I saw the Death Star, I was blown away. I could not contain my excitement (to this day you can sing “dum dum dum, dum dum dum, dum dum dum” to me and I’m like a 5-year-old in a candy store), and was cheering uncontrollably for Darth & co. Kids and parents alike began pelting me with Raisinettes, popcorn, whatever they had. This of course egged me on even more. My poor father just kind of sunk down into his chair, head in hands.

I walked out of that movie theatre high as a kite. Meanwhile the other people were visibly pissed, because their Good had succumbed to my Evil. Then I shout out, “Ha! The Death Star cannot be beat! You’re just pissed because Darth is Luke’s father!”

In front of the 300 or so people standing in line to see the movie. Twisted Evil

Either the original "Jungle Book" or "The Sound of Music." I guess I was about 5.

Coming from a family of 9 children we didn't go to the movie theater--not sure if it was the cost or the hassle. Geez! could you imagine trying to find seats in a theater for a family of 11?
I do remember going to the drive in once with my family, I think we saw The Sound of Music.
So, I think the first movie I saw in the theater was Jaws when I was 11 or 12, my brothers and I went to see it with some of the other neighbor kids.

That i can recall? Either

Hot to Trot or
Short Circuit 2

Sad, isn't it? Not too long after that i saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Batman, so all was well with the world.

Uh, yeah it does...Rock, your high level ranking with me just got a little chink in it....

Me? I'm pretty sure it was 'Raiders of the lost ark' although I didn't see all of it, I spent a good majority of the film hiding under my seat out of fear. I was 3

The first ones I remember sitting in my seat and enjoying for the duration were a re-release of Snow White and ET.
