There was some cake sitting on the lunch room table when I came back in from running so I grabbed a piece to go along with my normal, healthy lunch. MMMmmm, chocolate cake with white frosting.

I finished off my tuna and dug into the cake. About half-way through, I bite into something that's not frosting or cake and it tastes like bubble gum...

and it's got the texture of bubble gum...
and it's about the same size as a chewed up piece of bubble gum...
OH GREAT! I've found someone else's left over bubble gum in my cake. puke

so I spit it out into my hand and I see this little pink, chewed up mass.

It was then I remembered that there were jelly beans placed here and there on the cake and that I must have gotten a bubble gum-flavored one that was pressed down into the frosting a little.

at least that's what I keep telling myself.

Well... if you think it was jelly bean then maybe it was. But I doubt it....

Went out to eat at an oriental place several years ago with some friends. X found a nasty looking hair in her soup. And then the waiter shows up and he's got this gnarly looking wart on the side of his face with several long black hairs sticking out of it.... I motioned to X to look at him and told her that's where the hair came from. I don't know how she didn't hurl because she turned totally green. And for some reason she didn't eat another bite the whole evening.... Mr. Green

why put any of those kinds of candy into the icing? it always makes the candy go weird and gooey. gummi fish in jello=yuck worms in chocolate pudding=yuck. I know it's cute, but it certainly doesn't taste right, and it causes little incidents like PH's

Where do you work that someone's already chewed gum being in a cake would even be an option... I think I would skip cow-orker foods from now on. If they are capable of gum, couldn't they be capable of ex-lax cake?? And even if it was a jelly bean, why? Its not even close to Easter.

Last Easter's cake maybe?

I don't know, reminds me of that Seinfeld with the old cake of Peterman's that Elaine ate?
