I think I made the term up, but you have the song "boogie fever" in your head now, don't you?
Some friends and I have decided, what better way to "save money" than to plan another ski trip this winter (don't tell my dad, he thinks I'm saving for school silly dad) anyway, poll not poll, because I don't want to work and I've played on every ski resort's website long enough:
Do you ski? Are you good? If you have skied, where? What is the best place to go for lessons because I'm terrible? And shouldn't I have been born an heriess????

1) This made me sing "I got jungle fever" instead.
2) I used to ski, very well even. Then I stopped, and now I suck.
3) Mostly in Vermont and NY, and when forced to, NJ.
4) Do it. Just not in Tex-Ass.

Um...I thought Jungle Fever as well.
Back in the day I was an okay skier and really enjoyed it. I never went outside of Central Wisconsin, so all of the places I've been to would be considered hills. But, I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I will go again when my boys get older. I don't expect to be any worse - kinda like riding a bike.

I have had serious balance issues ever since I grew a foot in one summer after seventh grade.
Thus, I do not ski or engage in any activity that involves me strapping a skid, blade, or wheel to my feet.
People who've run with me know I have a hard enough time just keeping it together with shoes!
But good luck with your search!

SKI IOWA ! ! !
Only do nordic skiing, but we've had mild winters here the last few years, so I'll probabaly be bad at it when it happens.

I have a good friend in Des Moines who would love this...
I'm terrible at skiing (alpine), mostly because (i believe) I never have a long enough opportunity to practice it, and too long in between. Its amazing however, how much I love it, despite being so bad. my last trip even involved the ski patrol...

I've never been skiing before but I love snowshoeing. In fact I'm hoping to buy a pair of snowshoes before there is snow on the ground here....

yeah....My aunt in Boulder, CO is way into that. Based on my exceptional in-born skiing skillz I probably should look into it.

i downhill skiied a few times, with the same emotional result as white water rafting. it terrified me and i had a friend fall off the lift once, mid air, just fell off. well, her boot kinda hung up on the chair and she was dangling.....so i don't ski. sorry
ski boots scare me.
i live about 30 minutes from lots of ski areas but i'd rather cross country ski, and used to do that alot.
ultimate risk taker signing off.

1. I ski
2. Yes
3. All over CO
4. Not sure - but any place you go will offer lessons.
We don't want to get into a topic about ski season. I'm rather ticked off about it. It's looking like it's going to be a great season with all the resorts opening earlier than predicted and I bought new skis. I will only be able to go a few times before I leave for Basic.

I've skied twice about 5 years apart. I'm not sure how good I was at the skiing part, but I became excellent at the falling down and getting up part.
after skiing eating and drinking is pretty fun, too
