I'm not saying I've downloaded music illegally  
So I downloaded iTunes, got a couple songs I wanted that truth be told were hard to find elsewhere and now all I get from my stupid iTunes is :
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell Microsoft about this problem.  WTF
so I guess my music is lost, luckly only a few dollars worth. But I actually liked the format, etc. I could get into it, but now iTunes is rejecting ME.
Any suggestions?

Figures. iTunes is rock solid on a Mac, but put it on a Windows box and >boom<!

I thought I read that Metallica was only releasing full albums via MP3, not singles.
