virus? I don't know...but its not normal....
If I'm not here on monday, its been really nice knowing you all, I'll probably be out of work....

You didn't open that attachment that came from an "administrative" source saying your e-mail account was being abused and that you had to follow the attached instructions did you?

no, but I did get that email, I shift deleted it after reading it in the preview pane. It was definitely not from our administration, my company is not NEARLY that kind in its memos.

I clicked on a link provided by DAMIEN once. Something similar happened. I had to hit the power button on my computer before anyone saw.

Did all of the people on this "strange site" have no clothes on? I've heard those lead to a lot of popups....

I just downloaded the google toolbar (so if I'm not fired for the pop ups, I might be for violating our electronic policy of no downloading anything) and hopefully they'll go away...

I downloaded a bible study program of all things, and it overwrote something in a .dll file. I couldn't run my anti-virus, copernic, it wouldn't execute the commands. So, it could be that google (if this happened after you d/l that toolbar that is) just quirked something. I'd unistall and reboot.

Yea...ya did get something written to your c: drive.
Try and remove the google software using the control panel add/remove software, or locate the file and delete it, however it may be resident in a number of places. Goggle may have a remove function or file attached to the software.
Most likely you have downloaded adware like HelpExpress, Alexsa or Servedby.Advertizing.com.
If you know how to go into your register file and delete them, great...if not you will need the IT folks to get rid of the offending files.
