Okay, well hardware is in my posession but I didn't win any races....
My mom was cleaning out the last of what was leftover from my grandmother's estate this weekend and found a box of old awards from my (deceased for 15 years) grandfather involving his own running days, including several 2nd and 3rd place awards for tri-athlons and 5 and 10Ks around this general area in the 1980s (making him 60-something as he's achieving this, so I have to believe most are age group awards!) Since there is not a lot to be done with them I kept them. I didn't win them but they are very inspiring to me. I'm going to hang them in my apt I think. Cool to think I got this 'bug' genetically...

I know, first my granddad, then my mom (She'll tell you she's 29 but she's really 62 ) and hopefully I can follow their footsteps.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a few of my grandfather's "treasures" that I'll never give up. They'll get passed on to my children.
Old camping journals, Civil War documents passed down to him, his work badge, etc.
Very cool!

My thoughts too! I'd be tempted to add your favorite photo of your grandfather, as well.
I "inherited" all of my Dad's camera stuff. I feel honored to have it all, and I'm having some cabinets built so I can display his camera collection. It's kind of nice to have that connection.
