I decided to NOT kick pippi in the head. 
But for realz, we live on an extremely busy road so we're extra cautious about Pippi being outside.
Anyway, our neighbors dog broke free this morning as I was walkin Pippi. At first I didn't think it was a big deal but then he started heading for the road, and sure enough sprinted across the street without even looking!! 
I freaked out. Threw Pippi in the house. Knocked on neighbors door yelling "Your Dog Is Loose!".
Ran across the street to try and capture Bert. It took about 20 minutes and there were some scary moments as he was trying to get back across the street (he would've been plowed for sure). Both times I screamed his name and ran the other way. Luckily he followed. So I finally was able to tackle him and lead him back home to the very grateful neighbor.
Whew...how's that for drama at 7 in the morning?

Allllllrighty then.......
I know the name of every wandering dog in the neighborhood. But instead of banging on the neighbor's door, I just let them hang out at day care for the day. Everyone knows they'll find their missing dog at Shanny's house.
