my marathon training plan. 18 weeks long.

I did this on the principle of running only 4 days a week.
Basically I compiled a bunch of different ideas/methods into one program. I used the long runs from Alan's program (thanks Alan!) combined that with some weekly speedwork (I am trying Yasso 800's this time, I know some people don't like them, but they intrigue me.) I also used a little of Hal Higdon's workouts in there.

I am pretty happy with the results. At the very least, it has gotten me excited and ready to hit the road. It also allows for plenty of time for rest or cross training, as well as some weight training.

I love it when a plan comes together Smile Yes I was watching the A-Team today.

I have to redo mine again since the accident through a mandatory rest period in there.

Sounds pretty good Coachie-Coach!
Now, make sure you make copies and plaster them all over your house and office! Wink

I'm doing Yasso's also. Alternating them with tempo runs. Seems the most palatable way for me to do actual speedwork.

Sounds like you're ready to roll, Coach!!

Bart's a great guy, too.....if you ever have any questions, I know he'd answer an email. I actually met him last year at the RW Half, real personable guy, very down to earth.
