so I need to somehow shrink a bit before Saturday, when I have to fit into a bridesmaid dress for my best friend's wedding.
I told the woman who was altering it that it was a bit tight and I couldn't really breathe all that comfortably but she said it would be fine. HA!
It isn't too bad, but I need help figuring out what I can do. Rib removal not an option.
So far I've got:
1. Don't eat anything salty this week.
HELP!

does it zip up the back??
purple, as in barney or purple as in lilac???

Ooohhhh...I feel for ya, Cheeks. Purple??
Last wedding I was in I was the MOH in a yellow halter style dress. Halter style=not flatter and Um, I realize you've never seen me in person, but you know how most people don't look good in yellow? Well, add to that I'm anemic and terribly fair on top of that. Lets just say I looked like an alien. A very sick alien. And then the fitting of the dress....it was delivered and I could have fit about 4 other bridesmaids in it well, into the top section...  but when they re-did it, it fit I guess no room for additional bridesmaids but it was exceptionally tight. Like, no air tight. And it was an early in the day wedding that went into the wee hours. So I had that thing and the heels that matched on for ENTIRELY too long. I was not kind to the best man by the end of the day. I have no advice....I just feel for you!!! Maybe lots of water? and avoiding salt is probably good.
If its really snug and you have money burning holes in your pockets those body wraps are supposed to really work....

ICK! It's not that bad!
It's kind of a lilac color and strapless, zips up the back. So she made it kind of tight so I could keep it up.
I just had it fitted a week ago, so it's not a case of gaining weight... it was just too tight to begin with.
Cheryl, I can sympathize. Let's just say I don't own ANY purple clothing, and there's a reason... I'm unbelievably pale so this color makes me look sick dog.
I only have to not breathe from 1 pm until about midnight.

I have never met him, but the bride described him at the shower. He is a foot taller and weighs three times what I do.

I hear the purple-sausage look is all the rage this year.
That's sad--she didn't even say he had a nice personality? You might be in for a long evening! At least there will be wedding cake. Lots of bad things can be overlooked with wedding cake, I think.
