Almost seemed like two separate movies.

Agreed. The second part was much more intense though, even with the slower pace.

As a whole, I prefer Apocalypse Now. Great movie.

Once again, a case of eye-to-eye vision. However, I prefer the Apocalypse Now Redux. Some of the stuff editted out was very good and should've been left in....like the surfboard theft scene.

And Platoon makes me glad that my draft number was pretty high.
