and by cheap, I mean inexpensive. My thread title was too long and I needed to use a shorter word.

50 lap memory would be plenty. No HRM functions or GPS needed. Just something I can race with.

I've been thinking about getting one of these. Something that I could wear during the day too and not look so runner-watch-cheesy. It has a 30-lap memory.

I've got the Timex Ironman 50 lap. It's a good watch and I've had no problems with it. I got it for around 45, but I think you can get it for under 30 online.

Campmor has tons o' cheapie lap-memory watches.
Do a search on "50-lap" there PH, you'll get quite a few.

I Like that timex with the FLIX system. a flick of the wrist and the backlight comes on. that would be handy in night skating. I've been thinking about a new watch too.
