I got volunteered by my boss's boss to sit in on a legislative sub-committee meeting and answer "technical questions" should they arise. The problem is that legislators don't ask techinical questions, they ask stupid questions.
It may be time to bring this poster:

think on your feet MB, and no eyerolling or laughing when they ask their questions.

Quick and painless. Apparently none of them bothered to read the prep materials and they all blindly voted "yay" to send the bill to the floor. I guess they all ate too much lunch with the lobbyists and had to go poop.
