Finally got through to this kid. He's been driving me crazy all year. He was shooting me with his "finger guns" today so I sat him off by himself (behind the piano where no one could see him). I checked a few minutes later and he was crying!!! Now it's not my goal to make kids cry, but this tells me I may have made contact with his brain finally.

This happens all the time in PE.

Little sons of guns think they have another recess or something and don't want to listen.

A stern talking to, and then sitting and watching everyone else have fun is the best cure for this particular illness.

I thought running endless laps was the best cure. Sure seemed to work for me.

Wrong answer.

Usually it will work for the short term, a week or two, but usually kids that little that act up haven't been taught how to behave and keep needing to be retaught time after time.

Then did you parade the rest of the class in front of him so they could see him crying too?

You think that's bad! On the news recently a school in the St. Louis area had a field trip. One of the chaperones was a cross-dressing father. Everyone who's kids went were PO'd. School said they couldn't do anything about it but would look into what they could do so that it doesn't happen again. WOW.
