Posted: 04/04/03 - 14:25 Post subject: I'm wearing sandals today!
It was a balmy 4 degrees celcius this morning so out came the pretty spring dress and sandals to celebrate the occasion! The shoes lived under the bed downstairs all winter so it took several minutes of dust bunny and cat hair removal before they were suitable to wear (although I could have just told people they were angora.....) My feet have since turned blue and I can't feel my pinky toes but durn it, Ethel, it's spring!
I need a hypothermic smilie; preferably one wearing a pretty spring dress.

I'm wearing my very expensive gore-tex lined hiking/hunting boots AT WORK because my toes are so messed up from running. My work boots hurt too much to wear right now. I should not be wearing these boots on concrete. Not allowed to wear running shoes at work though.

Rob, how do you get toes that messed up from running? Lots of miles? Wrong shoes? Or do you bite your toenails like my sister-in-law?

I can't reach 'em to chew on 'em....
Too much running on an inside track is my theory. I've had problems no matter what shoes I've tried. Got 4 toenails that are blackened and have either just fallen off or are ready.

RB, picture this gorgeous Scandanavian super-model type 19 year old beauty. Now give her a mouth like a trucker, the table manners of a troglodyte and the ability to chew her own toenails. That is my SIL.

...HEAVY SNOW BEGINNING TO TAPER OFF...
.LOW PRESSURE OVER THE EASTERN GREAT LAKES IS FORECAST TO QUICKLY MOVE
TO THE NORTHEAST TODAY. THE BACK EDGE OF THE HEAVIER SNOW WILL CONTINUE
TO FALL OVER FAR NORTHEAST WISCONSIN EARLY THIS MORNING...BEFORE
TAPERING OFF. NORTH WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WILL CREATE SOME BLOWING AND
DRIFTING OF THE NEW SNOW. THE COMBINATION OF THE NEW SNOW...BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW AND ROADS THAT ARE ALREADY ICE-COVERED WILL LEAD TO
HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
Springtime in Wisconsin I should be breaking out the sandals by say.............well maybe the end of May

Why is Wisconsin so freakin' cold? I'm way further north. Is this unusual weather for you this time of year?

You have the benefit of Pacific weather systems, which are milder than the stuff that whips up over the plains or from the north this time of year.

It was 85 degrees here on Tuesday; today it's in the low 40's and tomorrow we are supposed to get 8-10 inches of snow. This is all because I put away the snowpants and boots already.
