and fishing this Wednesday (my off day from work)...haven't gone in 3 years or so. I still have my crab traps and fishing rods in the garage. I'll just go to one of my favorite fishing docks in the inlet. If I'm lucky, perhaps I'll post some pictures.

Don't get caught in the rope when you throw the cage overboard! It's a problem.

Here's one for ya :: youngest jrjo-son (4yr/old) provided the biggest father's day catch, making a nice bass dinner.

I went clam digging over the weekend! It was fun, but muddy and was so tiring after a while. It was the hardest $20 I've ever worked for. I don't know how people can do it for a living. I was bent over digging in the mud in the hot sun for about 4 hours. Granted we didn't go to the best place, but you never really know until ya start digging.

We caught about 25 walleyes, a perch, a couple of channel catfish and two largemouth bass over the weekend. Most of the walleyes were 12-13" cigars though so we only kept five that went 15" or better. Kept a 9" perch also. Yum.

Consequently there are large, unharvested clam and mussel populations near where I usually fish.
