I have officially started working towards my first tri. I'm now the proud (?) member of a local masters swim club.
I've survived my first night covering 1100m without taking on water or having to break between a set. For me, this is huge!
Lookout IM -- here I come!
Okay, so IM's got some time to wait, but I'll get there!

I think joining a master's swim club is probably one of the best/smartest things one can do to improve performance.
That being said, I still need to do that.
Edit: Good luck and welcome to the cult...err... club!

Actually, mine's really cheap. $115 for one night a week through mid June 2006. I think the max is $375 for 3/week through to mid June 2006.
