PA requires additional education for its teachers. So when you earn a Level I teaching certificate you are required to teach 3 years and earn 24 post-bachelor credits. Since I earned a Master's at the same time I got my teaching certificate, all I had to do was put in the time as a full-time teacher. I applied, got all the paperwork done, then had to argue some with the Dept. of Education. It seems they lost my transcripts, and I had to have them sent again 
anyway, Saturday, my Level II teaching certificate arrived, so I now have my permanent certificate!
