The dr he followed up with for the broken ribs said the X-rays were read wrong at the hospital. We found this out yesterday (Thursday) morning. He has THREE broken ribs and they sent him to get bloodwork done to check for internal bleeding, told him to stay off work for three weeks! (which he can't do, obviously; the man just started a new job and works like 60 hour weeks anyway), so he said he is going back on Monday.

OK, fine.

Where do you think he is right now?

That's right. AT a partner's meeting at work. First it was just going to be for the AM, now it might be all day.

Who else is stubborn that you know?

I can see the doctor's point if he told him no lifting or heavy work for 3 weeks, but how is it different if he's sitting at your house or sitting at work?

This is called "survival". If he had been there long eoungh then he might have been able to take sick time. Since he just started it would be almost suicide to take three weeks off.

People work with broken ribs all the time. Not much you can do for the problem. As for the internal bleeding, if there was any there would be major problems showing up lots sooner than this.

Our son.

A favorite family story of ours occured when Dave was two years old or so (remember this). He was being bull-headed about doing (or not doing something), and LC told him he was being stubborn.

She then made the mistake of telling him he was a week overdue because he was stubborn and didn't want to come out.

He said "I didn't want to come out because I knew you would be an old witch." Mr. Green

But he doesn't just sit all day. When he's in meetings, yes, but he also runs around the dining rooms, talking to guests. He also has some major problems with the kitchen quality, consistency, and bickering amonsgt staff. His exec chef is out wit back surgery, so he will also take off his jacket and tie and through on a chef jacket and go assist, cook, whatever. He'll do everything he expects his staff to do, and if I know him (and I do) after the meeting he'll be running around.
