...like the one the owners of this particular house are trying to give us right now.

PAH-LEASE!!! If we wanted to get into a bidding war we would have just offered you more money in the first place!

Move over, lady.

Next house...

In the DC area they are all about jackin' the price up!

We saw this gorgeous townhouse this past week and we were just about to put an offer on it when our realtor called their realtor and they said they were already looking at another offer. No biggie...we had another house we were interested in. So, we put an offer on house #2 and now the lady is trying to squeeze every penny out of us imaginable. Well, in the meantime, for whatever reason, the buyers of house #1 decided not to purchase it and their realtor called us IMMEDIATELY! So, we have the house we really want getting ready to be released of the initial contract (should happen today) and we are going to tell Ms. Penny Pincher she can hit the road and we're going for the house we really want.

If, and when we get this place you guys have GOT to see the painting in this house. It is amazing. Very strong colors (Red, Blue, Yellow, etc) but very artistically done! We LOVE it! However, the sellers are offering a $6K consession for the paint! We'll take it! Smile

Normally it would be in the 3K range but this house had some EXTREMELY BOLD (and hard to paint over) colors. We're talking crayola Red, Yellow, and Blue.

It was very tastefully done, though. The house looked like it came right out of a magazine!
