It was on a very tough course, lots of hills, plenty of heat, evening race. She was ready to leave when I saw that the results were posted. I ran to her car to let her know she had placed in her age group.

Good for her and good for you Rolling Rock! I'm still waiting on my first piece of hardware. The closest I ever came was a door prize.

Well, Mr. keltic, i was gonna let this one drop like a hot potato seeing as my time was my all time worst, but HARDWARE nonetheless!!! i owe it all to you Keltic63 as staring at the back of his head for 30 excruiating minutes was what kept me going....... i kept thinking he's gotta burn out real soon here----welll NOOOOOOOOOOO he energizer rabbited me.
Keltic beat me by 2 full minutes - probably 3.
One master who ran the course told mr. rr that he has run 1400 5Ks and this course was the TOUGHEST.
HARDWARE!!!!! thanx for running to my van to stop one pi$$ed off mom from going home empty-handed.

I checked the results and did the math. It was really just 1:29
most of the runners that came in after me said things like "I'd rather run a 5 miler than to do that course again." No personal records on this course, most of us were just happy to finish. It's good to have a humbling experience like that once in a while.
btw, I was 4th in my age group. I want a trophy by the end of summer.
