It's a 5K at the end of July. I should be running 30 mins straight for over a month by then. It's in Mackinaw, four hours from where I live. My sister and my husband are going with me! We're making an overnight trip out of it. I feel something really special is in store, and I know I have something to shoot for. That should keep me on the straight and narrow.
YAY!

Thank you so much, everybody! I've got my old choked-up-giggle going full blast!
I'm just a tad bit scared. It's exactly four months from today, and I'm barely running two minutes straight...
All I can think of is crossing that line. I don't care if I'm dead last! I am just so thrilled that I'm going to be a part of it!

I see there's also a Tri and Duathlon. Next year you can go for the duathlon.
