comp for a race!

What were these people thinking? I have NO idea.

But, for one whole morning, I can say that I get to race for free. Which means I also get to keep an extra $20! Razz

Let's hope they don't find out I suck between now and race time.

WHOA! Shocked That's nifty! Did they ask you if you wanted to race it first or did they just send it to you?

A COMPlimentary race entry. They're letting him race for free because he's such a big local name that others will sign up just to race against him.

Very cool. I've never been comp'ed for a race. I did win a race once and they said part of my award was a comp for the next years race. The next year rolled around and no one remembered anything about it, so they made me pay anyway. I have gotten seeded / elite numbers for races, but only after I paid to enter.

your too nice......I would have banned the race Mr. Green

I knew a guy that was a decent runner that got comp'ed all the time. One day after a race, I was having a few beers with of the race vols and the Race Director was p.o'd at this runner. I guess the RD was sending the guy free entries because the guy kept banditing and screwing up the timing. The RD was po'd that day because "I send him a free entry and he bandits it anyway!"
