Why Miss Steph is divorced.
i knew she divorced 3 years ago and that she has not dated anyone til me and she was real skeptical about that. I figured that she would tell me when she was ready too. I was asked over the weekend why the divorce and all i knew was that he was very controlling but i told my friend i did not know and when Steph tells me she tells me.
Well last night i brought the topic up that so and so asked but really did not have clue, no specifics of which to speak of.
So Steph tells me. all of it last night. all i can say is WHOA  . besides the controlling issue, there was mental/physical abuse, and infidelity, which is where my money would have been bet on. she has alway referred to her husband by last name to me and there is a look that washes over her face that just says "HATRED, LOATHE" and the only concern if anything happened to him would be on her sons' menatal state of it.
makes feel good that i can be the first male she trusts after 20 years. also makes me hope i don't screw it up for the rest of MEN kind. she only really dated her husband before me.
this does explain a lot of the looks she gives me and some of the interpretations she "receives" and she is convinced i'll "dump" her for a younger woman.
so i guess i do like a normally do with her, she takes such simple things as if they are momentus overtures. i think maybe neglect was also part of the mental abuse. one thing fer sure. i'll treasure the chance she has given me knowing all this now.

some people take what they learn from the first one, and apply it to the second one for the benefit of all. Glad to know she trusts you with that knowledge. Now, do yourself a favor and DO NOT go back to the person who asked you and give them that info.

I can't, i forgot who it was  the topic was more important than the asker. also i would not, that is uncouth <snobby british accent> and well below the level of civility afforded to Miss Steph. Hell i still call her Miss Steph when i am talking to others about her. still have a lot of respect for her as a person and i do not wish to lose it either. thru stupidity or familiarity.

thnaks guys, i was not fishing for compliments but needed to release to someone(s) most of our friends are mutual and i would not discuss such a thing with any of them.
