Posted: 02/18/04 - 20:10 Post subject: I hate shopping for clothes. Help!
I'm tired of wearing the same pair of pants to work every Friday. (No shorts or jeans during the week)
But the problem is, I hate shopping for clothes. It's annoying. It's frustrating. And most of all, it's overpriced.
Even on the internet, it's hard to find my size. When you're as skinny as I am, it's pretty hard to find something that fits. I generally wear a 28x32, or 28x33. Usually sizes start at 30xwhatever. Where do you find pants like this? I used to buy dockers, but apparently they discontinued my size. Old Navy usually has my size, but their pants suck and never last.
Help!

Gap.com. You can do a search for pants that are 28x32. They have several khakis (I'd post the link but it goes on for days. I'll pm it to you if you want.)

This may sound silly but... Have you tried kids sizes? Sometime's I have to buy things from the girls section. But their usually a few dollars cheaper too.

You COULD always buy them and get them altered. A lot of the better department stores still do men's clothes for free (or at least they did the last time I was near civilization).

What about Land's End or Eddie Bauer? They have good quality stuff--in endless sizes.
Good luck. I hate shopping, too.

Land's End was the first thing I thought of too. I'm not sure if the quality has fallen off since Sears bought them out, though.

How wrong PH, oh how wrong.
Thanks for the help guys, but I can't bring myself to pay 50 bucks for a pair of pants. I think I'll just get large pants and wear a belt.

Go to the overstocks section of landsend.com and look at the pants there. There's no way you'll pay 50 bucks for a pair if it's an overstock. They should have plenty in your size because only 11 people in the United States have a size 28 waist.

i can relate to the small waist size --- only because my high school son wears the same size as you and i thot he was small. he is impossible to fit.
i buy alot of old navy cargos for him and find for the price they are really a good deal.
