I have done the calculations (about a hundred times) and I have come up with the final plan for my sub 5. It is doable. Amazing enough.
Swim 35 minutes. This is doable. I did sub 35 for the first loop in IMFL and it is the same course.
Transitions x2 5 minutes. Easy.
Bike 2:30 or better. That gives me a 22.4mph average. I did that last year without race wheels. And that was last year, I'm way stronger now.
Run 1:50. I need a 8:24 pace. The speed isn't the problem, the bonk is. I have worked hard on nutrition this year. I lost 8 lbs (As of this morning) and I have put in many miles on my feet. I should be golden.
I'm getting nervous. I leave tomorrow morning for the 10 hour drive to Panama City.

Close, but not at
I was on my goal times,. I was 13 seconds under my goal when I went out on the road. (I guess I figured out the race right on schedule.) I just don't kow what happened. I had the energy. I had good feelings and i was just thinking about a negative split. Save it for the last half. I saved to much.
I'll have my race report out later today.
10:25 over my goal
