We saw that last night because we missed the showings of "Analyze That" Third time to miss it I think there is a greater power keeping us from seeing that movie...
Anyway, I thought it was enjoyable for leave your brain at the door, high tech gadgets and some good explosions. But I don't know, after Goldfinger (the 007 movie set in Kentucky) I just haven't gotten into too many Bond movies. Any fans? Was this a good one and I just don't have a proper appreciation?

Cheryl, I read a review about it and this critic was actually saying that XXX was a better movie. It sounded incredibly foolish at the time but from all the feedback I've rec'd about 'Die Another...', he may be right, yes?

See, thats what I don't know. I don't know if this was just a so-so Bond film or if we are just sticks in the mud?
I didn't see XXX but kind of wanted to...was it good?

I actually neva saw it either but everyone that did see it said it was great. I try to stay away from potential 'cheese-flicks' (hope no one read my maid in manhatten post )

I have the same policy. And while Bond falls into that category, our options were either "Maid in Manhattan" or "Die another Day" or wait an hour an a half for something good....
After reading your Maid in Manhattan post, I believe we made the right choice....

Ralph Fiennes and the little boy were the only redeeming qualities...

Listen to the universe, Cheryl.
And then wait and rent it. It isn't nearly as good as the first one.

I am a big bond fan (mostly the connery movies, all are still pretty good). I haven't seen this one yet and will probably wait to see it at the inlaws on their private theater (ok not really but they do have a 64" TV with great surround sound). All I can say is don't read the books because the movies don't do them justice. I read Goldfinger and it was outstanding but then the movie was terrible. Now, I can't read anymore bond books for fear of ruining more movies. (Again, a sad statement about America, I should be saying that I will not see anymore bond movies and just read the book. )
