Doorbell rings...flower guy is at the front door. My mom looks at the card and says there for me. Dozen red roses. Shocked Who are they from you ask???
I guy I went on one date with last weekend and had the worst time with! Mad Let me tell you the story.....On our date last weekend we went out to dinner to a nice place and then to a bar to listen to a band/DJ and hang out. When we got to the bar after a few drinks he made a comment about how much $$ he had spent already, I just blew that off and went to the bar to get us another drink. He kept asking me about my XBF and trying to compare himself to him. I finally told him that I didn't want to talk about it. We ended up running into my friend (thank goodnes) so we hung out with her and a few others. This is the big kicker....I was walking up the stairs in front of him and he smack me in the butt!! Evil or Very Mad When I turned around I should have smacked him in the face but didn't.....So he drops me off that night and tries to give me a kiss and I turn away and said thanks, talk to you later this week and got in the house fast.. THEN he called me the next day! I made that phone call short and hung up. SO I didn't talk to him again until Friday night which was also a short phone call because I was so tired and just didn't want to talk. I thought that maybe he'd get the point that I wasn't interested but I guess not.

I know it was a nice thought that he sent them but I just wish he didn't. Now I have to call him to thank him and nicely tell him I am not interested

I called Dancer to tell her about the flowers and I swear she fell on the floor laughing because she knew how miserable of a time I have last weekend.
So I got v-day flowers just not from someone I wanted them from...

Oh, poor lickety split!

I know exactly how you feel. I have the same thing this year. The thing I don't understand is how they can't read our body language or have any clue that we are not interested. Confused

At least it's flattering and now you have some pretty flowers, right? fubby

OK, not making ANY excuses for the guy, esp on the heiny slap, BUT...

Did you ever think he might be apologizing for his actions ?

Accept the roses graciously, then say goodbye.

A break...it was one date. I will tell him nicely that I am not ready to date again yet. He was digging for enough dirt about me and the EX he should know that...

Maybe he is trying to apologize , but.... (unwanted buttslaps aren't so nice).

Maybe give him a chance as a friend.

Enjoy the flowers. Gifts don't mean strings attached. Mr. Green

I got unexpected flowers too, but it was a lovely surprise from the fiance', and some of the most beautiful roses I've seen in a while.

Too funny, lickity! I agree, he sounds like a bit of a turd but at least you can enjoy the flowers!! I think telling him you aren't ready to date yet is a nicely tactful way of saying "buzz off, losah" without hurting his feelings.

Just think of this as a contribution to all the funny stories you will have to tell your kids someday about your wild and crazy single days! Wink
