This is going to be a hard year for me this year. I don't believe that I'm getting a card from my kids this year. I don't know if anyone is going to take them to get me anything.
It's funny, I'll still take them to pick out a card for their father. They're little and I'll take them as long as he is solo. They need to be taught to show their appreciation regardless. This is just me.

I've gotten 2 cards, 1 from my Dad, one from an old old friend, JoAnn, who was very much a mom to me in my teenage years after my step-mother died. Will sent one in the mail (from school--I love his teacher!)
I didn't buy cards this year. I will do better next year.
And Marcie, I think you're a better mom than I. I don't think I'm getting cards for Kramer. My kids though are old enough to want to do it, and if they do, then we will. If they don't, then I don't know that I should go there. I just don't know.
I'm flying by the seat of my pants these days. I just don't know how to handle so many things. <sigh>

There was a saying we had in college - "You're all mothers in my book." Somehow I don't think it has the same meaning as this thread topic.
