I let DH test my lactate threshold this morning.
unfornuately, I am right. I've been training at the correct intensity.
It would have been great to be terribly wrong and the results show "you've been running all wrong, correct it and improve ALOT".

I'd say that's a huge accomplishment and worthy of a pat on the back. Knowing yourself well enough to train exactly correctly is tremendous. Heck, it'll probably getcha to even being ranked 12th in the nation

but it appears that I can only improve with drastic measures, losing weight and/or pushing my threshold higher with intense track work. ie 200s and 400s
I knew I'd have to face those demons someday.

this is a memo from mike's coach/lab concerning my results:
For arguements sake, if this was a true reflection of the #'s, then you wife needs to start completing more Z5 interval training with continued Z1 development. The reason:
1. Z1 is sitting at 82% of max
2. Z3 is sitting at 90% of max
At this point, if she keeps training the same way she will max out in her development. The ceiling needs to be pushed higher (max needs to be 11 km/h) to then give room to move everything else higher.
