But I did get a house this weekend!!!!!
We really weren't officially looking. Last weekend I went to some open houses and saw nothing. Then last Wed this one popped up online and I loved it. We got pre-approved Saturday night just in case. Went to the open house and went back with my in-laws to look again and make the offer. I knew it was meant to be. My MIL's father grew up in the house. I told the hubby if we didn't make an offer right there we wouldn't get it. I don't think he believed me. They had 2 offers that day and accepted ours. Then Monday they had 3 more. So I'm glad we jumped on it. The best part: it dosen't need a single thing done to it. The previous owner put in a new kitchen and bathroom. Hardwood floors and the paint in the dining room and living room look good to me. 2 bedrooms upstairs. Fenced in yard for Sophie and 2 car garage. And it's stucco. Love Stucco. I always said I wanted a house on our running route and this is. It so great! Thank goodness I work in a furniture store and get furniture at cost. We only need a few things but they can add up.
It's so adorable.
Married for 10 years and our first house! I'm so excited. We have the home inspection on Saturday and sign the Purchase and sales next Tuesday. I guess it isn't official until that is signed. But for now it's mine!

Wow! That's fast!
It's a beautiful house. And move-in condition, wow again. Bet you can't wait to make it a home.

I'll take a new home over chocolate anyday!!
We were a lot like you, together for 11.5 years before getting our first home. Being a homeowner is so nice.
Congratulations!!!

i love your house!!! it is very similar to our first home--hardwoods, plaster walls, 9 ft ceilings, transom windows -- i was in love with it from the first moment. best part about it FRONT PORCH CITY. i can't tell you how many memories were made on that front porch.
congratulations and all the best in your wonderful first home dancer.

Wow!
How exciting this is!
Did you know that this house was owned by someone in the family before?
That makes this purchase extra special in my book.

Actually, I'll be the one in Home Depot. I'm a bit more handy than Steve. Funny, we made a list of things we need and want. (the current owner is leaving the new fridge and the dryer so that is taken care of) The top of Steve's want list - Big TV and surround sound. I just laughed my head off when he said that.
Of course I'm planning everything around training. They wanted to close earlier than 4/30 and I said no. Steve's running Boston and I didn't want added stress to his training and running of the marathon.
Did I mention Steve's application was officially accepted to the Boston Marathon? 7 seconds over qualifying and they still accepted him. He was so excited!

It's an awesome house. I love older houses as opposed to the new cookie cutter type houses. You will be so happy there!
