We've had the same checking account for almost 16 years now.
We decided to change banks for many reasons, so I finally did it!
(Did you know I have checks that people haven't cashed from 10 years ago? wth?)
How long have you been with your bank?

We're switching as the banks we have accounts in here (in Illinois) don't have branches in Maine.

Just a year or so. We'd been with the old one since we were married and were tired of having just one branch. So we switched and it's so much better.

Legally, checks are only good for 90 days, I think..... or is it a year?

10 years. gee. time flies.
we can't switch banks cuz our mortgage payment is auto deduct twice a month which means they'll have our checking acct until the house is paid off. good thing they haven't pist me off. yet.

you can change. It's easy to cancel an automatic debit and start it up with annother financial institution.
I mean, if you are unhappy with them.

I've been with mine for 15 years.  We've been meaning to try out a new bank cause they ticked me off royally a few months ago. So far I've managed to refinance the house with someone else, now all I have to do is move the checking and savings accounts. I'm procrastinating because I pay all my bills online and the thought of setting up everything from scratch makes me
