So, Cheryl...you are FROM Louisville??? I grew up in a small, small, small (did I say small???) town outside of Louisville called Brandenburg (in Meade County). Maybe we are long lost sisters!!!

Koby - I spent a lot of time in IN as well. One, because my grandmother lived in Berne, IN (near Decatur) in the Amish country. I worked in Berne during my summer vacations while in college. Secondly, because Brandenburg is right on the IN line and the closest Walmart to my mom's house (note: it wasn't there when I was growing up) is in Corydon, IN.

I just realized how un-interesting any of this is!

If you were truly a Kentuckian you'd say you were from Meade County. There are only 3 cities in KY. The important one, Lexington, the Capital, and the one next to Indiana. Everyone else is from a county. (after all, who wants to tell folks they're from Big Bone Lick)

SO true with the exception of the towns surrounding L'ville, some of those are notable by their names, La Grange, Radcliff, Crestwood, etc. And, this is only amusing to those from Louisville: those who live in the neighborhood of Anchorage in the middle of Louisville, say they are from a tiny rural town in the middle of nowhere, Anchorage (anyone remember the singer Joan Osborne? this is where apparently she is from) No, you live a ritzy neighborhood fully surrounded by Louisville.

Sorry, Kattz, I beg to differ on the important thing.....I've been to both Lex and Lou and given the choice, I'd pick Louisville in a heartbeat. Lex was pretty with the horse farms and all, but Louisville has far more life and character. Basketball isn't the be all end all, ya know! Wink

Pffffff......duly noted but it's still funny. Twisted Evil

Yabut, I am not considering THAT Kentucky institution for higher learning, so basketball isn't an issue Wink Actually, I've just about narrowed it down to 5--some of the others you won't like either (Duke being one of them) and UK did not make the cut. I was half kidding, I do really like college hoops, but somehow that didn't enter into the factor analysis for school choices. Perhaps I should re-run it adding that variable? Wink
