I just went to our local sports bar/restaurant (Champs) and found out they have the TV tuned to watch the Tour de France every evening. Unfortunately I have Tae Kwon Do from 7:30 - 8:30 but you bet your bottom dollar I will be there after I take a shower!!

Secondly, I decided to go visit my local bike shop which is in the same shopping center as Champs and I found out my NEIGHBOR works there! He was so totally cool and said he will give me the employee discount on anything I wanted to buy...AND...they are having a HUGE sale right now! I can get at least 50% off on the bikes PLUS his employee discount...AND...he said if I ever needed any work done on the bike he would personally come over and work on it and then take it into the shop for any tune-ups, etc. that it needed.

I AM ONE HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might get to do that Aug 22nd Triathlon afterall!!! Very Happy

Great for a newbie!

They have one even shorter, though...but I missed out on it this year. I think it is like 250 yd/3.5 mi/1.2 mi.

What do they call that distance, the Don't Blink Tri?

Hehe!! Actually, it is called a Mini Tri.

Hey, I'm not complaining...it might be the first race I ever WIN!!! The first place for my division was 3:43 swim/17:30 bike/7:58 run. Third place in my division was 5:18/16:23/9:39. I can totally beat at least the third place times and come close to beating second place (at least with swimming and running...not sure about the biking yet).

No wonder I completely understood you. Where's Cheryl? Of course, she's from Louisville, which as anyone from KY knows, isn't actually KY... (but she roots for the Wildcats...)

Do you guys consider Louisville part of Jeffersonville, which would make it part of Indiana. Also known as the "IN" state.

Sorry. Too many paint fumes.

Okay A) Genie, people in KY don't find KY jokes funny. I'm just sayin for your own future joke repertoire should you pursue post graduate studies within the state... Wink
B) Louisville is not part of the rest of Kentucky. It is its own island. Indiana it is NOT. Particularly southern IN. Sorry Koby. Jeffersonville wishes it was Louisville, or at least thats how I understood it!! Wink
C) U. of Louisville really just wants to be UK, they did hire our basketball coach after all.
D) it took me a long time today to come up with what exactly sounded wrong about 'more happier' Embarassed

Ahh. Who cares of Jeffersonville. I've only been there three times. That must mean that it's not important (note to the Philly folk, I've only been there twice so I consider it less important. Razz ). I've never been to Wisconsin

I do know however that my town wants to be part of Kentucky. Some people call it "Newtucky" instead of "New Castle".

Rooting for the Wildcats is one of the reasons I LEFT KY! Wink

So, Cheryl...you are FROM Louisville??? I grew up in a small, small, small (did I say small???) town outside of Louisville called Brandenburg (in Meade County). Maybe we are long lost sisters!!!

Koby - I spent a lot of time in IN as well. One, because my grandmother lived in Berne, IN (near Decatur) in the Amish country. I worked in Berne during my summer vacations while in college. Secondly, because Brandenburg is right on the IN line and the closest Walmart to my mom's house (note: it wasn't there when I was growing up) is in Corydon, IN.

I just realized how un-interesting any of this is!
