.....called my son an assclown. Here's what he did. I had the kitchen sink full of water and the burner grates, knobs, drip pans, etc from the stove soaking in it. He comes out and puts dishes from his room in there! He laughed when I said it, hysterically even. He's 13 BTW. I felt bad. Well, a little.

Mom tells 13 YO to clean up room. Kid cleans up room takes dishes to kitchen.
Sink in kitchen is full of hot, soapy water.
Kids puts dishes in a sink full of hot soapy water.
I'm sorry I don't get the problem.

Well, I didn't tell him to clean his room. But more important all you could see in the sink was stove parts.

Its a MALE reaction to hot soapy water in a sink. Besides, What's the big deal, they all get clean right ?

Plastic glasses and greasy stove stuff don't mix. I hadn't even put soap in the water yet. It's all clean now though.
