I guess it's time to start wearing a shirt with sleeves. It's cold and raining here. In fact, it's pouring right now. So much for the morning showers subsiding. I'm off to the gym to run some on the treadmill--yes, I am being a total wimp about the rain. Maybe tomorrow I can get the long run in.

I have been wearing long sleeve shirts and a vest while riding outside. Still wearing the bike shorts most of the time though.
Nice to see some fall weather

I was getting excited because I thought I was going to be able to wear a long sleeve shirt to go to the farmers' market this morning, but apparently I forgot that 58 really isn't cold enough. So I had to go with a tshirt again. Feels good outside though.

I had to put away my bike for the season Once you get up to speed the wind cuts right through you.
This morning to run I am wearing tights, long and short sleeved shirts, mittens and a hat. And no more Coolmax socks; my new shoes are very aerated.

It was abouit 60 an muggy all night last night - bleech !! Today it was about 50 when I got off work at 0700 and supposed to stay cold and rainy all day and Sunday AM - That's when I'm going for my run.
BTW: see me in January to discuss the finer points of Under Armor Cold Gear.

Okay, okay it wasn't actually cold, but "chill" isn't a sensation I've had (when outside, A/C induced doesn't count) in many months. I've been so sensitized to the cold. Its like your body only handles one extreme or the other and I guess I can do heat. Your winters are the stuff of my nightmares. I'm just saying!

Instead of just running during the winter, our club also has snowshoeing and XC Ski factions. We even sponsor a 5K snowshoe race. Winter in the Northeast - Gotta love it !!

I actually do love being outside in the winter. I can xc ski, although I now live on very hilly grounds, it makes the downhill skiing on xc skis quite scary. Maybe I should look into some snowshoes and do some running when the weather is too bad for road running.

I haven't raced since August. Work, money and coaching is playing havoc with my racing schedule. It looks like my next race will be in late October
