Posted: 12/03/04 - 21:12 Post subject: I am so nervous!
In three days I have my first half. I am slightly injured (something to do with feet), but I have been good about it and resorted to cross-training for a few weeks to let it heal, but I am still nervous. I had a 12-miler planned that I had to scrap because of my foot, so my longest training run was 10 miles, though it was a good and healthy 10 miles (then I went downhill). But, that was 3 weeks ago. I am planning to run tomorrow to see how the foot feels.
I know I am not around much these days, but I really need some feel-good vibes from you all!!

You are being careful, OB, and that's the best thing you could have been doing. You have gotten 10 mile runs in, so the half will be easier than you think.
You will do fine, and make us proud of you.
Like we aren't already.

You'll do great!! 10 miles is as far as I'd run before my first half too.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll do fine. I've heard quite a few people with the longest training run of 10 miles, who did well in the 1/2. Be sure to rest that foot afterwards! Have fun!

I am sure that you will be fine. I did my first (and only) 1/2 with my longest run only being 10 miles. I think you just need to relax and have a good time.
Good luck!
