Even though we work a lot of opposite hours, whenever I wake up he's always there. ANd now won't be for nearly a month (with a 4 -5 day reprieve when I go up for his surgery).
Has anyone else had to deal with this? Even the Ambien did not help the other night.
It's not even a nervous thing, it's physical thing. I think the bed it is bent to his shape or something so I cannot get comfy. Maybe I am just a freak? I NEVER had this problem before.

Yes. While he does have a penchant for the midnight coverstealingrollover, it bothers me when Ranger is out of town. It's just not the same in my 18 inches.

I sleep like the dead when hubby's away. And I utilize the ENTIRE mattress.

Change that to "wife is away". I get to sleep all nioght through without a jab telling me "I'm snoring".

DH used to switch shifts quite often at work. What I hated most was getting used to sleeping alone then he'd be back. It was a never ending circle.

Yeah. It gets lonely really quick.
Someone to hold you when you've had a nightmare. Or someone, who by his mere presence keeps most of the nightmares away...
I could go on, but won't.

That's a hard part of my new life, not having a big warm body next to me. Jacob climbs into bed with me often, and while it is very sweet, it is just not the same thing.
However, Kristin, if it's not a I-cannot-sleep-without-him-beside-me thing, maybe you could think about getting a new mattress? Even if just for the time being?

AMEN!
Nor...listen to someone snore so loud they can wake the dead to where you sleep with three pillows over your head. No thanks. I've slept the best I've ever slept in 13 years for that reason. I will never be with someone who snores that badly again. Sorry, that's my dividing line next time. I'd rather be alone.
So far it has not bothered me one bit to be alone.
