[more dorky nurse advice] Knee surgeries tend to have the highest occurrance (of all surgeries) of blood clots. Two major ways to avoid those? Don't be still, get up and move around and stay hydrated. another way would be lovenox, unsure if you were prescribed that

heal fast!

Lovinox would not be bad, I have already had the class on how to administer the drug.

Relax and get better...

You have worked your butt off for years to take care of everyone else, let them take care of you for a few days. Neutral

Relax a little.

Listen hard to these guys. I know what the "can't take care of everyone else" feeling is like, but it will hurt you far more if you push too soon. And then you won't have a choice -- you'll be forced on the sidelines.

For everything that your family has been through, give them credit -- they're tough. This is just a bump in the road, and everything will be back to normal before you know it.

Get some rest, grab a magazine and a coffee, and take some time off.

You'll need the rest....'cause we'll kick your a$$ back into shape once you're better.

Very Happy

my brother got a clot in his lung after knee surgery. He says the doc "told" him to lie around. He lives directly behind my parents, I'm sure he was "milking" my mom's care. This "bro" needs no excuse to lie around.
