the new product from the Rolling Rock Brewery: Loyalhanna Pennsylvania Lager. We had the chance to sample it at the post race party for the Rolling Rock 5 mile run. I had trouble finding it in stores. Finally found a distributor that had some. the owner said she's the only one in the area that had it, and people are going wild for it.
mmm beer

It's excellent. It's described as a traditional amber lager.
from the label:
Since the Latrobe Brewery's founding in 1893, the Loyalhanna Stream has been its source of pure mountain water. The spirit of the Loyalhanna comes to life when combined with premium malted barley and the freshest hops as specified in our unique recipe. We are proud to serve you our traditional amber lager.

That'll I'll take icey cold. (lukewarm would taste pretty good right now for that matter.)

There you go!! It's dark HERE, so go for it....my motto in the AM is anything after 12:01 goes for beer (mimosas and bloody marys have their own time frame) so we have to have one for at night also.
Wonder if they sell that stuff out here? I just had some yummy local stuff from Victory Brewery in Downingtown (Tribob, you gotta try this) called Victory Whirlwind. It's their summer wheat and it has just a little peppery spice kinda taste to it. Very tasty with an orange slice in it.

Or try a Kolsch, if you can find one. It's a nice crisp, but not watered down summer brew. Done right, it has essence of lemon and hops but not too yeasty.

Is it me, or is that first long, deep slug of gatorade after a summer morning run one of the greatest sensations in the world?
