The trick is to not put it on until right when you're getting on the bike. Then, hold your breath until you start moving. |

Try the old wooden clothes pin on the nose trick.

Why not shower with the jersey, then it won't be so bad for the ride home... |
I guess I'm gonna have to start showering in the shirt. I guess I can hang it right in the shower since I am the only one that uses it.

Surely, if your jersey has time to dry off after you sweat it up, it should dry off as quickly after you shower in it. I'm assuming this is one of those "official" Spandex/Lycra biking jerseys with all the ads on it.
BTW: I noticed you did not check your biking shorts...

No, I did not check my shorts......
I have a bunch of jerseys that I bought from Performance Bike a long time ago. I ride to work in those. I like to use the shirts with the ads on the weekends and on my longer rides. They are better quality and fit much better then the cheapos I got from performance.
Now I have to shower in my shorts too. great.

I fully agree: My situation is slightly similar to marathoner262. When I'm finished at my gym (Army NG Headquarters) I usually shower in my gym shorts so they will be clean and dry for the next day's session. The shirt comes home for the wash.
When I'm home I do the same thing: Shower in my running shorts and Under Armor Shirt. Both are dry in hours and ready for the next round. I refuse to wash only a couple of pieces of laundry.

I seriuosly have enough gym clothes that I could, and now that I htink about it probably should, bring a new top and shorts to change into for the ride home.
I do carry extra socks, so I don't get fungus foot.
I do the "workout" clothes wash once/week. Lucy and I both shower in our clothes at night then hang them to dry, then they go into the basket for a real wash. The basket would be deadly if wee didn't shower int he clothes first. Can you imagine!
PH, what do you do?

I usually don't pass too many people going the same direction. Most runners I see are running away from me. |
Maybe.. just maybe... it's YOUR smell driving them the other way. |

I don't see the purpose of washing clothes after every run. So you smell good for the first 5 minutes... then you stink again. I'm perfectly fine wearing the same pair of running shorts 3 days in a row.

Ah, to be young again....
I absolutely could NOT wear a pair of shorts more than once. Heck, i want to change them halfway through the run. Most of the itme my shorts are soaking wet and dripping sweat down my leg.
