That's all changed now. Here's an e-mail I got last night from my M-I-L that concerns my F-I-L (who is almost 80).

Quote:
Well it has been quite a day. It started at the dentist office at 9am. When the dentist was almost done he dropped a tool, 1 1/2" long, 1/2" across the top, tapered half way down like a small screwdriver. We had to go for x-rays - then to a pulmonary (lung doctor) and then to the hospital. They removed it, it was in his lung. Put tubes in his nose and throat took it out that way. Needless to say he is not happy and cannot talk because his throat is so sore plus the stitches in his jaw from the implant. I only pray that there will be no after effects. We did not get home until 6PM

Shocked

Sounds like the Stooges short with the same plot - they wound up playing dentists.

Did the dentist bear a resemblance to Moe?

While I feel for your F-I-L, I'm absolutely sure that the dentist feels like poo.

Although I'm not absolutely sure that this particular dentist feels like poo, I am certain that my dentist would feel like it.

And before each and every visit thereafter (every six months if I've been a good boy), I would enjoy asking, "Got your malpractice premiums up to date?"

This sounds like some freaky urban legend that you would hear about. Or something that your older siblings would tell you to scare the crapola out of you when you have to go to the dentist.

Ya gotta wonder what was the dentist's first response. "Ooops"? or "Where'd it go?".
Shocked

..glad he came out of it relatively unscathed!
