Its rude, and completely uncalled for when you are travelling 4 hours to another city in the dark!!

I agree, I hate it when people are late. There is this lady at the gym who is repeatedly schedules tanning appointments and shows up 10 min. late. Pisses.me.off. She's a teacher, you'd think she could be a responsible adult.
