I don't think anyone ever doubted his talent. Bad is still one of my favorites. It's a classic - like Thriller.
I try to differentiate, though.

I didn't really like the videos. Thriller was okay. When it comes to music videos, I'm hard to please. I tend to like crazy ones like Tool videos.

i have an old jacko song on my mp3. i was going to poll to see if i should delete it.
the way you make me feel
you really turn me on
you knock me off my feet
my lonely days are gone
I Like The Feelin' You're
Givin' Me
Just Hold Me Baby And I'm
In Ecstasy
Oh I'll Be Workin' From Nine
To Five
To Buy You Things To Keep
You By My Side
I Never Felt So In Love Before
Just Promise Baby, You'll
Love Me Forevermore
I Swear I'm Keepin' You
Satisfied
'Cause You're The One For Me
i liked his music too. what a waste of talent.

There are a couple of songs that I like, but i cannot think of the names of them right now.
The one has the video where the people's faces keep changing all crazy.
Mostly he's just a freak. Nothing more or less.

all stuff up to "Dangerous" was very good.
Dangerous was good too, but inconsistent, just a few good ones there.
After that....he's been too into "other interests" to make good music.

It's lyrics like that, when I hear them now I can't stand to listen because the thought in my mind is he was thinking of little boys to write them about. His mental illness has tainted any musical talent because I can't get beyond the fact that what he intended the songs to be about are way different than what it seems on the surface. Makes the guy even more psycho.
