Those who hum darn near always are making something up - you hardly ever hear a song you know being hummed. They need a talking to, at the least.

Strange: My orthodontist as a kid was a master whistler. He'd whistle right along with Celine Dion and Chicago and whoever else is on that "light and easy favorites for your workday" station that all dentists have playing. He was impressive. Vibrato and all.

My FIL does this. It makes me want to hurt him.
