CNN descriped itself as our "Hurricane Leader" last night. That just feels a little crass to me. Anyone else?

I'm usually disappointed with CNN.

They seem to take joy in the misfortune of others so they can report a more horrific story than the other stations.

I like Anderson Cooper, so that's what i try to watch. Unfortunately this was Newsnight with Aaron Brown.

aaron brown makes me ill. Mad

cnn had a weather expert on yesterday who blithered on about the next impending hurricane (forming now in african waves) and if it hits new orleans, no big deal, but if it goes left and hits parts of texas, it will be the "living end" of our refining capabilities. why waste time speculating you idiots? PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.

more hystericalizing, a la cnn.

Well, yes. And if two Richter Scale force 10 Earthquakes hit California and the Gulf of Mexico at the same time, we'd be devestated.

Yeah. And?

CNN is banned from my home. They personify everything I dislike about the news media.

Fox News is a carricature of everything I dislike about the news media so I sometimes watch, but only because carricatures are funny.

You know what I love? I love a "fresh faced" newscaster reporting live, from the scene--knowing full well, their provisions are provided. Coffee, showers, clean clothes--but not even feet away there are people who have nothing.
