Overall it was real good.
Robin and I won 2nd place in that couples competition and won a free dinner to a nice place in Philly, $100.00 gift certificate.
Sunday had a nice race and then Robin and I spent a good part of the afternoon cooking together and had a real nice dinner with the whole family, for the 2nd night in a row. We rarely eat together so it was real nice to have it twice in a row.

Pretty boring weekend. 2nd to last long run on Saturday morning and then yard work/house work the rest of Saturday. Sunday was spent at the in-laws celebrating birthdays and watching a little football.
Not nearly as exciting as buying a CAR.

Overall weekend was good.
Saturday: long run (20-miler) that felt GREAT, worked on my house, and went to church.
Sunday: 7-miler then worked on my house again.
Oh, yeah. PURDUE WON!!!! Next week Norte Dame is going down. Unfortunatly, I had to turn down the free tickets. That was the one bad point of the weekend.

Friday night:
gas to get to my best friends house $5.00
bottle of wine $7.00
A night of connection with my best friend: Priceless
Saturday:
I was bored and lonely. My boy was with his dad. I went shopping for a little while and then took a nap..alone....but then I put my Mp3 player on and did a whirlwind housecleaning.
Sunday:
Sunday morning: Long run 12 miles no walkbreaks. Whooot!
Sunday afternoon: SUPPOSED to have dinner with my EXMIL and my ex and his wife and my son for his Ma's birthday, instead I got a sad reminder of why it was that I left my ex. They had had a fight on the way down and just the look on his face and the slump of her shoulders and I was RIGHT BACK THERE. And he's got her believing it's her fault...just like me.

I give my weekend 9 out of 10 . Best friend was here, which doesn't happen often but is always THE BEST. Had a few beers and a lot of laughs with some RRers. Sunday ran a great race but missed Joe and came just short of my goals. Then slept and ate the day away. Very good weekend indeed!

Good weekend for me. Not much planned really. Slept in both days which was hella-wicked-fantasticular fun (and needed)!
Watched Boys Don't Cry... Wow...what a flick. It's no wonder Hilary Swank won the Oscar for that one...
And ended the weekend having a a bunch of people over last night for a cookout. (they tasted great )
edit: Oh yeah! and I popped into the Riff Chat on Friday night! Supa cool! (and you should've heard all the nasty things Genie and Coach were sayin about you alls...)

Saturday morning--kid taxis
Pebbs Jr. ran in first big Jr. High X County Meet
At the same time Nick was participating in his first Tae Kwon Do Tournament
Pebbs had Behavior Management Training as part of her work
Afternoon took oldest daughter to costume castle to look at parts and pieces to make a Mad Hatter costume.....she and a friend are going to turn our front yard into Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Tea Party to hand out candy on Halloween.....
Sunday morning----Pebbs, Pebbs Jr. (5k) and Nick (fun run) ran in a race
I thought they all ran great.......
Pebbs allergies were killing her though and she said she felt yucky.....
(she did her usual great)
Pebbs Jr. (12 years old now) finished 8th overall female in 24:01, but was upset as she has ran a 22:13 in the past (when she was 10 years old)--"puberty sucks"
Sunday afternoon-- went to the final Pirate game of the year.......boy the kids like to see how many times I can go up and down the stands to the concession stand......boy PNC Park (while hosting a horrible team) is the nicest baseball park in the country......
