I was awakened this morning by what sounded like a raccoon that was pissed off at the world.

At four every morning. like clockwork, there's some birds that start singing away - not sure what kind they are. Always a half-hour before the alarm goes off.

I sleep with my cell phone under my pillow. It sings "Kerosene" to me at 5:30 each morning.

I had one in the chimney of the house I was renting two springs in a row. She'd move in, have a litter of coonlets and then they'd be gone when they were old enough. I'd hear them run down the roof and the front porch awning every evening shortly after dusk.

I was awakened by a stray cat with a smoker's voice yowling at 0200 and then again at 0500.
At 0500 the yowling was interrupted mid yowl and didn't start again so I'm thinking some barn owl helped the 'hood out.
